St. Patrick’s Day Billboard
As St. Patrick’s Day approached, we thought it would be an interesting way to remind people that many of us actually share an immigrant heritage. In doing so, perhaps we would create more empathy with those who come to America to create a better life. We’re actually big fans of outdoor advertising – we call it “the last broadcast medium” – and so we picked a spot in Detroit’s old Irish neighborhood and got the sign up in the weeks just before the big day. Of course then COVID happened and the parade was cancelled. But even still, the board did provoke a lot of interesting conversation.
